Doing one of my favorite past times, browsing bookstores, I came across Conscious Company: The Future of Business as Usual, a new magazine I’d never heard about before. I think you’ll be interested to learn about this great new publication.
After I got home, I went to the Conscious Company website to learn more, find out how when it started, often it will be published, and what a subscription costs. It’s a quarterly magazine and Winter 2015 is the inaugural issue! Subscriptions are $27.99/year.
Co-founders Maren Keeley and Meghan French Dunbar met in early 2013 while working in the sustainability field. Both women recognize the urgency to make the world a more sustainable place and see business as the greatest catalyst for this change. Love it…and I agree!
Maren and Meghan’s story is inspiring. The magazine started from a conversation over a meal between two great friends. “We have put in countless hours to bring this publication to life, all of the time focusing on how to make a beautiful magazine that inspires people to think about how powerful business can be when used as a force for good. We support these ventures that are making the world a better place by giving them a voice and telling their stories. We stand for large-scale, positive change through innovation, collaboration, courage, and the belief that we can, collectively, do better. We created this magazine to serve these values.”
